Intel plans to finally launch many Penryn 45 nanometer cores, but only one will be a desktop CPU. The other, Harpertown 45 nanometer based chips, will be server only and Intel plans to launch a massive 22 parts next week.
This includes the QX9650 Extreme and will cost around $990, although final retail prices will undoubtedly be higher. Two other notable chips are the QX9775 and the QX9770 chips, both of which is a 3.2GHz CPU with 12 MB of cache, and FSB 1600MHz support. The only difference between the two is the fact that the QX9770 will work with Intel’s upcoming X48 chipset, while the QX9775 will only work on the dual socket system code named Skulltrail.
Two CPU’s will be needed for this platform. The QX9650 Extreme will be launched this November, while the two 9700 series chips are set for Q1 of 2008.

Or maybe this is just a great piece of photoshop works? Is designed by a 17 years old boy, will Nokia really take his design and produce in mass?
The key feautures for this phone are
1. 3.5 inch Touch Screen (high resolution)
2. Carl Zeiss optics and 5x optical zoom (this is real physical lens zooming)
3. Integrated GPS
4. OS symbian S70 3rd edition
5. High resolution video recording 720 X 576 pixels with 30fps
6. Integrated TNT receiver (for television)
7. 3D graphic acceleration on board

Tonight, Colley told me that she found another nice Sony Ericsson handphone. That’s W580i. She asked my opinions about it. I didn’t know much about Sony Ericsson handphone, i more concentrate on Nokia, because i like Nokia more.
While surfing along the net, i found the review about this W580, here i share it with you.
Specification.
Operating Frequency: GSM Quadband (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
Display: 2 inch QVGA TFT Screen
Connectivity: EDGE, GPRS, WAP, Bluetooth, USB
Standby/Talk Time: 370 hours Standby/9 hours Talk Time
Onboard Memory: 12 MB
Expansion Slot: Memory Stick Micro (M2)
Camera: 2.0-megapixel camera
Dimensions: 99 x 47 x 14 mm (3.9 x 1.8 x 0.5 inches)
Weight: 94g (3.3 oz)
Colours Available: Style White and Urban Grey
Form Factor: Slider
What so special about this handphone?
New walkman icon in blue, stylish design, compact casing not plasticky feel and it is slim.
Bad side of this handphone.
The inbuilt camera is of decent quality, but a CyberShot model this is not, so there is no autofocus or flash capabilities. This is also a standard quad-band phone with EDGE, but no 3G capabilities as well. However, with a decent amount of talktime estimated at around nine hours, entertaining games, fitness applications, vibrant colors and shake control, the W580i is no doubt aimed at the younger fashion conscious crowd rather than a power user.

Last night, after i finish copy movies and series into my external hardisk, my external hardisk completely dissappear and non-accessible. It was corrupted!! My 4.5 years collections of songs, documents, photo, software are completely gone. My databases were destroyed and backups were gone.
I still figure out why it suddenly become like that.
Whole night I’m looking for software to retrive the file from my corrupted hardisk. I found some, some are really working. But have to pay!! The price is higher than my hardisk price. Not worth!! But i still manage to find some ‘cracked’ one. Now my comp is busy retrieving back and copying back to the hardisk. Only 40% will back to it, and all the filenames are gone, all are renamed in file1, file2, ….. I have to spend some more time to figure out what is what, and rename it back.
Anyway, it is still better than nothing.

4 years back, I bought a DLink DSL-500G for my streamyx broadband. The box stated “Life Time Warranty”. At that time, I was very doubtful; will it be really Life time warranty? Why this company so confidence about their product will never break down? Will the Life time warranty valid if this product is no more in production?
Today, it gave me the answer. The Life Time warranty is valid!! The modem is no more in production line, so DLink replaced the modem with another one which works better. Guess what? The Life Time warranty still VALID, means the new modem carry Life Time warranty. If you buy from shop, it only provides you with 1 year limited warranty. But this one is Life Time warranty. The shopkeeper told my dad that, “you’re super lucky one, because now no more life time warranty even limited one also don’t have.” Ahaha..
Thanks God for that, I knew you heard our prayers.
and thank you Dlink for keeping your promise. Dlink is my trusted brand for networking hardwares.

World’s Smallest USB Receiver for Mice Simplifies Life for On-The-Road Notebook Users
The next big thing in notebook mice is really small. Logitech, the manufacturer of computer mice, introduced the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks. The mouse’s plug-and-forget nano-receiver provides highly mobile notebook PC and MacBook users with a mouse that simplifies life on the road. Because the USB receiver is so small and is nearly flush with the notebook, people no longer need to constantly plug and unplug it when moving from place to place.
“More and more laptop users are abandoning the touch pad in favor of a cordless notebook mouse,” said Rory Dooley, Logitech senior vice president and general manager of control devices. “However, with most notebook mice, the size of the receiver forces people to plug and unplug the receiver each time they use the laptop. Because we were able to make the nano-receiver so small, it can remain plugged into the laptop at all times so on-the-go notebook users save valuable time and never have to worry about where the receiver is.”
Plug-and-Forget Nano-Receiver
The VX Nano mouse’s plug-and-forget nano-receiver is the world’s smallest USB receiver for mice (when compared with other 27 MHz USB receivers for notebook mice commercially available as of March 1, 2007). When plugged into a laptop, the nano-receiver is nearly flush against the notebook – protruding just 8 mm from the edge of the computer. As a result, notebook users no longer have to worry about the receiver getting lost or snagged. Instead, people can plug in the nano-receiver once and then forget about it – the VX Nano mouse is always ready for use.
Advanced Scrolling and Performance
To maximize productivity, the VX Nano mouse features the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, which Logitech introduced last fall in the Logitech MX Revolution cordless laser mouse and VX Revolution cordless laser mouse for notebooks. When the wheel is in hyper-fast scrolling mode, people can fly through long documents with the flick of a finger. To shift to the precise, click-to-click scrolling mode, people need only press and click the scroll wheel. The mouse’s Forward and Back buttons enable effortless navigation of Web pages and documents, while a One-Touch search button allows people to instantly display results from a favorite search engine. A laser engine ensures smooth cursor control and precision tracking on virtually any surface, and Logitech’s 2.4 GHz digital cordless technology provides a robust wireless connection.
Low Profile, Ultra-Portable Design
A premium mouse for the on-the-go road warrior, the VX Nano mouse’s low-profile, ultra-portable design ensures that it slips easily into a notebook bag, pocket or purse, while the contoured shape and soft rubber grip provide exceptional comfort. The base of the VX Nano mouse has a trap door that, when opened, reveals two AAA batteries and a storage compartment for the nano-receiver.

Today, I checked my WC system, found out there is new version available. I downloaded the new WC and test on it. New WC layout but no new function; but for server side, new management and new configuration, IIS is needed in order to support the WC server. IIS only available in WinXP Pro, WinServer, not sure about WinVista. Besides, i have to purchase new license to register the server in order to support more connections, or else only 5 connections are allowed.
In conclusion, I don’t think i will upgrade my WC system now, it is a big project to make this upgrade.

Experts say that space colonization and alternate energy is the next big thing, with the sales of portable gadgets booming companies are developing portable solar chargers, fuel cells etc. To catch up with the trends Sony Japan has developed a Bio charger which generates power from a sugar solution. The unit is cube shaped and 39mm wide, four of them are interconnected the power generated (50mW) is enough to power the NW-E407 Walkman and passive speakers. The bio electric battery uses the same mechanism like living beings and generates electricity by a chemical reaction of carbohydrates.
The Bio charger is still in development stage and is surely a step in the right direction.

Is our market ready to accept Nokia N800? N800 is a sim-cardless Tablets. It is like a small notebook/computer using Linux operating system. Using Voip or Skype through WiFi to make call. In the area without WiFi connection, it become a “phoneless” Tablets. Internet surfing can be done in WiFi connection area, thanks to the high resolution LCD, surfing become more reality.
So.. Is our WiFi coverage big enough to support this kind of tablet? Now i’m using my N80IE updated from N80. At home, I’m now using Voip system calling all around the world for *FREE. My parents use it more often than me, they use my phone to call to their relatives far from Kuching.
*Free 300minutes per week, limited to certain Country.
In KL, more and more WiFi had been set up for use. Some are free, some have to pay. But in Kuching? Free WiFi connection still limited, need not to say about whole city WiFi coverage. When can it be done?
