From Windows Vista still in Beta versions, i heard lots of, tons of complains about Windows Vista. Saying that Windows Vista not stable, slow, hang, breeze, programme not supported, bla bla bla..
For me. Windows Vista just same like all other Operating System. Windows Vista comes with enhanced security, eg firewall (the same system used by kario); new layouts; and lots of new feautures. By the way, old programmes are still supported, unless the programmes you used are made for windows 98, not even for XP.
In my view that, windows vista not good, not worth said by others is just because of they dun want to learn about new things, or just not get used with it. Same like 10-20 years ago, when autogear just out, lots of ppl say that autogear not good, slow start-up, manual gear better. 7 years ago, when XP just released, XP not good, dunno how to use, very complicated, Win 98 better. But what is the conditions now? Almost all computer are XP if their computer can support, almost all cars are autogear. 
I’m not working for Microsoft. I just feel sad and unfair for producers of Windows Vista because of Bias, because of Lazziness. Try install Vista and learn, at least try for 1 month. See what are the differences, then only complain. Dont just complain and say not good before you try.
I personally had test the windows vista for 3 weeks, I like it. It works better than XP.
This is just my own opinions, sorry if you feel offended.

But old laptops like mine (5 yrs old) cannot support Vista, right? All I remember is the most problematic Window was Windows ME.. hehe

yea.. 5 years old computer cannot support new operating system. when XP just release that time, 5 years old computer also cant. Windows ME is the most unsuccessful windows, that’s why windows XP very hot sale.
